THE FEARLESS PURSUIT 2 REMEMBER YOUR SELF
DeFINDing a Self ----> WHAT IS A SELF? A person's self is the essential part of their nature which makes them different from everyone and everything else. An individual's consciousness of his or her own identity or being. Another example could be that our Self is your basic personality or nature, especially considered in terms of what you are really like as a person.
YOU DON'T KNOW ME
BUT YOU WILL KNOW YOUR SELF
The truth is, we don't really know how to define self... not objectively at least. In a few words, Self is consciousness. Consciousness escapes objective description (for example: your experience of the color red, is it the same as mine?). If a definition requires an objective description, then self is un-definable. This last definition is from Urban Dictionary. What it fails to consider is that objectively Self is undefinable, but SUBJECTIVELY it is the only way to define our Self! This is where therapy with me begins and ends: You defining your SELF.
