PSYCHOTHERAPY IS NOT A PROCEDURE PERFORMED UPON ONE PERSON BY ANOTHER.
IT IS A DIALOGUE BETWEEN PERSONAL UNIVERSES, AND IT TRANSFORMS BOTH.” - George Atwood
ROGERS FAMILY THERAPY is a psychotherapy private practice co-owned and operated by husband and wife TIM & TIFFANY ROGERS. A Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFC101500) and an MFT Trainee (supervised by Ifat Peled, PsyD Lic#28021) as well as a California State Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor respectively. "EMOTIONAL AWARENESS ALLOWS YOU TO WALK THE EARTH AWAKE INSTEAD OF IN A SELF-IMPOSED TRANCE"
You may be experiencing family dysfunction, ineffective communication between you and your partner or behaving in ways you and others find unacceptable. To you these challenges keep you feeling dissatisfied or like you are empty inside, A VOID....(Yup). You may be attempting to satisfy or fill that void with unhealthy relationships, infidelity, and/or using drugs & alcohol. You may have even participated therapy before and been assigned a diagnosis as an "answer" to those challenges.
"PAIN TRAVELS THROUGH FAMILIES UNTIL SOMEONE IS READY TO FEEL IT" - STEPHI WAGNER
At Rogers Family Therapy, we view those ways of satisfying or filling the void as historically helpful ways for you to deal or cope with life. The ways which now present as hyper or hysterical behaviors that are hurting you more than helping you. The YOU you keep trying to be! Let us help YOU get there... and stay!
