1) VALIDATE - your feelings and emotions. Give them value! They are everything in all relationships.


2) AUTHORIZE - place a name to what you are feeling for yourself. Being curious instead of critical. (#feelingswheel)


3) EXPRESS - what you are honestly feeling to at least one person you trust your therapist or partner.


4) TOLERATE - your partner’s reaction (non physical) to your expressed feeling. Don’t have to agree just hear them, and know they have a right to an emotional reaction to what you’re saying. Validate what you hear them saying in your own words.©
